01
Gather requirements
Every project starts with listening. Before sketching a single wireframe, I sit down with stakeholders to uncover their goals, challenges, and what success truly means to them. These conversations help me turn business objectives into clear design requirements and set the foundation for a focused, meaningful user experience.
02
Digging into the data
To understand where users struggled and what was working well, I reviewed the existing app’s data, including analytics, user feedback, and usage patterns. This helped me identify pain points, uncover opportunities, and build a clear picture of how the redesign could make a real impact.
03
Exploring the competition
To understand where the client stood in the market, I conducted a competitive analysis by examining similar apps to see how others approached connectivity, navigation, and usability. This helped me identify industry trends, uncover gaps in user experience, and find opportunities for Delphi to stand out with a more intuitive and modern design.
04
Mapping the journey
Once I understood the users and their goals, I mapped out key user flows to visualize how they would navigate through the app. From there, I created wireframes to bring those paths to life, testing ideas early, gathering feedback, and iterating until every interaction felt seamless and intuitive.
05
Bringing the interface to life
With the flows defined, I designed a clean, modern interface that strikes a balance between usability and visual appeal. Interactive prototypes brought the experience to life, allowing stakeholders to explore, test, and refine the design before development began.
06
Financial planning
Collaboration didn’t stop at design handoff—I worked closely with the development team to communicate design decisions, clarify interactions, and ensure the final product stayed true to the intended user experience. Every detail, from layout to micro-interactions, was refined together to maintain consistency and integrity throughout the build.

The challenge
Redesign the Delphi Connect mobile app while ensuring the new designs provide a better user experience and will be accommodating for any future challenges. This is a fast paced field that requires deep understanding of the technology behind it as well as the human interaction.

The solution
Through Google Analytics, we found that the majority of users’ activities occurred on the map screens.
More than half of the users navigated to the location map as soon as they started the app. After speaking with users and the client, we found that a majority of users struggle with creating geofences and navigating through different parts of the app. We had to make an easy-to-use navigation system that focused on the primary user task.
We developed a new design that reflected our users’ needs, with the location map serving as the primary interface and introducing a new workflow for the geofence feature. The user can still access all other parts of the app with ease.
